David Sabella Sings Italian, French, and German arias in this recital (his senior recital) with renowned accompanist Ross Barentyne-Truluck. The recital was delayed by three years (Sabella was recruited out of school in 1987 to perform in Europe with La Gran Scena, also with Barentyne-Truluck at the piano). This is also his FIRST public foray into real countertenor repertoire (in a suit) with the duet “Sound the Trumpets” with LGS colleague, Philip Koch. The Video also includes a “surprise” duet from The Pearl Fishers, with Brother and Broadway Star, Ernie Sabella.

Sabella, original Mary Sunshine in Broadway's CHICAGO (1996), stars with Tim Curry in this cartoon (one of only two in history) which endeavored to teach little children about Opera. Captain Hook plots with Frau Brunhilde Brumhandel to destroy Never Never Land... with her voice. Thereby proving once an for all, there is no safe exposure to a Dramatic Soprano!
